The point about the two witnesses is new to me, please tell me more. Their Prophesies will change to suit the times, and as long as no one makes a research in their history, most won't know about their mistakes, plus they hide behind the verse that say something about "for the rightous one the light gets brighter and brighter" but thats got nothing to do with making false prophesies, its only saying that for the rightous person things will get better and better.

A New Generation???????????
by RevFrank inaccording to the watchtower the generation that saw the beginning of the end began in 1914. as for the 144,000, that ended some where in the late 1970s.
i guess god changed his mind on ending the system.
why even up to the 1990s the awake kept saying it, yet it's changed.. as for the two witnesses......some jws say they already came....died....and are living now.

Dad (elder) called yesterday.
by Es inhi all.... i have not spoken nor seen my dad for about 3months now after he would not allow me to borrow cds for my up and coming wedding to a "worldy guy" because borrowing his cds means he would be supporting my mariage.
even tho the relationship between my mum and i is now strained as a result she still keeps in contact and suggested that we all meet at the shops one day for lunch so dad could see my son.
i agreed as i felt it would be nice for my son to see his pop again...but also was a little upset as dad hasnt gone out of his way to see my son.

But the Watchtower doesn't breakup families !!!!!!!! what BS. ! Its amazing what a hold false religion has on people. Its a dangerous thing when someone really beleives they are doing God's will, it makes them fly planes into buildings, turns themselves into suicide bombs, and at the very least makes them abandon their families. You should try somehow to show him what a false religion the WT really is, I think it will be the only way he'll ever change. Jesus said "there will come a time when they will put you to death and beleive they are doing a Scared thing" I feel that JW's who shun their families are forefilling this Prophesy, after all, to them you are like your dead, thank God that burning at the stake is against the law of the land or else there'll be pills of wood outside most KH's.

Like most JW's I used to beleive that everyone else in the world was under Satan's control and that we were the only ones who weren't. Now that the vail has being lifted from my eyes, I can see that there are many good people in the world, honest hearted people and that there are young people who have good morals. And if I was God I wouldn't distroy them. I am more understanding and forgiving then I ever was as a JW.

I think I am a people person. I love being with people in many circumstances. I also have the nak of being able to make people open up to me and telling me there problems and feeling comfortable about too..of course.

to AVSHAI and TALESIN regarding my proverb "Men use love to get sex and Women use sex to get Love'. This proverb I heard on the Oprah Show and was mention by a FEMALE Pycologist, as far as it being a sexist comment is concerned I suppose who ever speaks the proverb would have to be of some gender.

What is the Real Financial Cost of a Circuit Assembly?
by FairMind inmy congregation along with about thirty others attends circuit assemblies at a facility that is owned by the organization (a converted school).
this building also has a section that serves as a kh for three local congregations.
i have noticed that when the financial reports are read at the assemblies that the expense (which is not detailed) is always around $4,000.

In Australia we also have the same kind of Financial report, and its cost about $3000 for our Circuit Assembly, So I asked the same question, WHY SO MUCH?. The answer that I got made sense, the cost mainly comes from "Council Rates", I don't know what you call them in the USA, but any property gets charged Land Rates and depending on the value of the property the rates can be very high, this then has to be divided over the days that the Hall is used, and when you consider it the Hall isn't used much at all over the 365 days years, its porbably at best used for about a sixth of that time, so the cost of the Rates which are shared over the congo's can seem quiet high. I hope I've explained the point.

was just looking at the depression post and looking at pepole's biography.. why doesn't a lot of members put anything in there bio.. i undersatnd that many may not want to be identified, but i think bio makes it easier for us to undersand each others history.

I think you've answered the reasons yourself. Firstly there are some (like me! ) who don't want to be indentified, probably because they're still "JWs" and if they are discovered the 'loving' GB will DF them and mess up there lives, allthough we all know that the WTS doesn't spilt up families. Secondly some probably are too lazy, but its sad, when I read someone's post I nearly allways look at there profile and many times its empty, but then I think "maybe they're are in the same position as me, ....or just Lazy. hehe bye Leeha
